Baba Bilga was reacting to the affidavit filed by Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani in the court recently.

Quoting from the National Council for Educational Research and Training publication India''s Struggle for Independence (p 50) Baba Bilga said, "The following is an account of the Komagatamaru incident given in the Sedition Committee Report. The 29th of September (1914) occurred the disastrous Budge-Budge riot...the central figure in the narrative is a certain Gurdit Singh, of the Amritsar district in the Punjab, who had emigrated from India 15 years before. The Tribunal that subsequently tried the first batch of Lahore conspirators held that probably Gurdit Singh''s main object was to cause an inflammatory episode."

Baba Bilga said the Komagatamaru arrived at Vancouver on 23rd of May with 351 Sikhs and 21 Punjabi Muhammadans on board.

<formid=367815></formid=367815>
